Restore original steering column control functionality with this direct-fit turn signal switch engineered for 2001–2004 Volvo S60, S80, V70, XC70, and XC90 models. The assembly replaces factory components stamped with OE numbers 30669738 and 30768097, matching the original wiring harness pinout and mounting geometry without adapter brackets.

Exact Compatibility & Fit Verification

This stalk corresponds to the base and mid-trim steering columns across the specified Volvo platform years. Verify fitment by comparing the terminal layout on your existing connector or referencing your VIN against the listed model years and body styles. The plastic housing retains the factory lever throw distance and spring return calibration expected on these chassis.

Integrated Operations & Electrical Layout

Beyond left and right turn actuation, the switch manages emergency flasher routing, high-intensity discharge beam pulse, and automatic park-position recall for the intermittent wiper system. A dedicated contact strip activates the trip meter reset button located at the tip. Internal copper alloy contacts maintain consistent resistance under standard dashboard current loads.

Inspection Standard & Installation Profile

Pre-Sale Inspection: Tested for secure mechanical locking pins, absence of cracked housing near the pivot bore, and straight connector terminals.
Mounting Procedure: Unbolts from the steering column shroud and disconnects the primary multi-pin harness. Torque mounting fasteners to factory specification to prevent rattle-induced connection loss.
System Requirements: Operates as a passive relay controller; does not require module programming or software recalibration upon reinstallation.
