Restore reliable air conditioning operation without dealer pricing using this exact OE relay, part number 8D0919578A. Designed specifically for 1998–2005 Volkswagen Passat and compatible Audi models, this component regulates electrical current to the compressor clutch, resolving intermittent cooling loss or complete A/C shutdown caused by internal contact degradation.

As a secondary switching device, this relay manages power delivery between the vehicle electrical system and the compressor electromagnetic coil. When the original unit fails, the clutch receives no engagement signal, resulting in warm cabin air regardless of refrigerant levels or thermostat position. Direct replacement ensures correct physical dimensions and connector alignment within the factory relay carrier, preserving original circuitry without modification.

This is a pre-owned component that has been extracted from service for reinstallation. Each unit is evaluated externally for terminal integrity, casing soundness, and secure mounting legs before packaging. The item ships securely cushioned via USPS First Class to minimize transit risk and keep fulfillment costs low.

Exact OE Identifier: 8D0919578A / 384
Vehicular Application: 1998–2005 Volkswagen Passat and compatible Audi platforms
System Role: Commutates activation power to the A/C compressor clutch
Condition: Pre-owned, externally verified, ready for direct installation
Shipping Carrier: USPS First Class

When diagnosing a non-engaging A/C system, check for constant 12V at the fuse feed and verify ground continuity at the control module. If upstream circuits remain stable but the clutch stays inactive, replacing this specific relay addresses the most common power-distribution fault for these model years.
