You give your 2004–2006 Nissan Quest its overhead lighting and storage back with this 96980-5Z201 console assembly.

Direct replacement parts matter when you want the cabin looking right. This housing reproduces the exact footprint of your factory unit, snapping cleanly into the standard ceiling tracks. The reinforced plastic frame locks onto original retention clips, so you skip the drills and messy adhesives.

Dual map lamps illuminate the front seats for night driving. A molded compartment keeps sunglasses safe from sliding around. Built-in structural ribs run through the shell to maintain tension on your ceiling liner, preventing sagging over time.

Check your current overhead module before ordering. This unit fits standard setups on Quest models that include only map lights and a storage track. Skip this part for premium trims equipped with compass displays, third-row climate controls, or hands-free microphones.

You receive a pre-owned console that performs like-new. The exterior shows only faint marks from its previous life. Clean the bulb terminals; they are corrosion-free and ready to conduct electricity. Test the compartment lid before install; the hinge moves smoothly with no visible stress fractures.

Rather than guessing during installation, lay your old console next to this one. Align the clip spacing and routing channels to verify everything matches the original design. Connect the two-wire harness and cycle the lamp switches to confirm steady voltage delivery before securing the trim.

Complete the swap by releasing the vehicle ground cable first, then removing the edge clips from the headliner. Drop the replacement shell into the cavity and press until the side rails click tight. Power up the circuit to ensure the lights stay bright and the dome function works reliably throughout the day.
